REQUEST: <br /> The Vehicle Registration & Licensing Division is requesting a resolution authorizing the payment of funds in <br /> a later year and for more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease to purchase one (1) multi-function copier. <br /> The lease would be for a term of five (5) years. The copier will be assigned to the Hilo Driver Licensing <br /> Office located at 349 Kapiolani Street, Hilo, HI 96720. The estimated lease cost is $151.00 per month <br /> ($1,812.00 annually) for a sixty (60) month term. <br /> Payments will commence after delivery of equipment. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The lease for the current copier will expire in September, 2017. The copier is approximately 5 years old and <br /> is not performing well. Error messages appear each time the machine is powered on and documents will get <br /> stuck in the top feeder.
