REQUEST: <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for a period of five (5) years for a <br /> Greens Mower for the Department of Parks and Recreation, Hilo Municipal Golf Course. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Greens Mower will replace an older and aging model with high usage and in need of frequent repairs. <br /> The repair for this aging greens mower is costly and it's more practical to lease a new greens mower than to <br /> continue extensive repairs. The greens mower is heavily utilized, cutting 10 greens daily. <br /> The Greens Mower will be leased for a period of five (5) years. The purchase price is estimated at $43,650. <br /> The estimated monthly cost for the lease is $770 <br /> Funding for the lease is included in the FY 2017-2018 Budget.
