These apparatus will replace the 20 year old fire trucks currently. <br /> assigned to the Keauhou and Waikoloa fire stations. <br /> According to the Hawaii Fire Department, new, reliable fire apparatus will reduce repair <br /> and maintenance costs as well as increase their firefighting effectiveness. The anticipated <br /> lease cost is approximately $28,500 per month. <br /> In order to meet procurement deadlines, we ask that a breach be authorized to submit this <br /> resolution after the August 31, 2017 submission deadline, and to waive it from the <br /> Finance Committee in order to be placed on the September 20, 2017 Council agenda.
