No. 402/Bill No. 63 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:35 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 63, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 63, transmitted by Finance Director Collins Tomei, via Communication No. 402 dated <br /> August 17, 2017, amends Ordinance No. 17-39, as amended, the Operating Budget for the <br /> County of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018. <br /> This bill increases revenues in the State Grants— Street Light/Traffic Signal Maintenance <br /> account ($400,000); and appropriates the same to the Traffic Signals & Street Lights account. <br /> Funds would be used to reimburse the County$400,000 for the conversion of streetlights on <br /> lands owned by the State Department of Hawaiian Home Lands from low pressure sodium to <br /> light emitting diode. <br /> Revenue is appropriated as follows: <br /> Account No. Source Fund Amount <br /> 020.3304.52 State Grants— Street Light/Traffic Signal Mtn General $ 400,000 <br /> Total $ 400,000 <br /> The above specified amount is appropriated to the fund and expenditure accounts as follows: <br /> Account No. Function and Activity Fund Amount <br /> 020.281.5281.32 Traffic Signals & Street Lights General $ 400,000 <br /> Total $ 400,000 <br /> There was no discussion on this measure. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent <br /> of the Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments or any other public <br /> body or bodies respecting action to be taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish, <br /> expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be <br /> undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> FC Report No. 38 <br />
