..4OJ�tV Oi y ;•• <br /> `-^ 4 . • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII --Ei sk.t.,.t =t STATE OF HAWAII <br /> tj •Mi MQµ:'��-, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 293 - <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO REIMBURSE THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS <br /> AND RECREATION FOR PROVIDING PUBLIC SAFETY AT THE 24TH ANNUAL <br /> KWXX HO`OLAULE`A IN DOWNTOWN HILO. <br /> WHEREAS,the KWXX FM radio station hosted the 24th Annual KWXX Ho`olaule`a, a <br /> drug-free and alcohol-free event,that was held on September 30, 2017, in downtown Hilo; and <br /> WHEREAS,the KWXX Ho`olaule`a is an annual, live-music block party that is <br /> attended by thousands of people from all over Hawai`i Island and the neighbor islands; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation was a co-sponsor of this year's <br /> event and assisted with logistics; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation requests funding assistance to help <br /> offset the costs for special-duty police officers that were needed at the event for traffic control <br /> and public safety; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation as a reimbursement for hiring special-duty police officers for the 24th <br /> Annual KWXX Ho`olaule`a. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $1,500 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $1,500 <br /> Culture &Education OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
