COUNTY OF HAWAIII*(67:,:- = '1:HSTATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 303 17 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO '0 KA`U KAKOU FOR ITS 20th ANNIVERSARY POLICE FUN DAY CELEBRATION. WHEREAS, '0 Ka`u Kakou is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization that sponsors and supports community activities in the district of Ka`u that enhance the quality of life for keiki, kupuna, businesses, and the greater Ka`u community; and WHEREAS, '0 Ka`u Kakou is coordinating a fun-day celebration for the Na`alehu Police Station's 20th anniversary on October 21, 2017, to recognize the Police Department's commitment to working cooperatively with the community to enforce laws and provide a safe environment; and WHEREAS, '0 Ka`u Kakou is requesting funds for live music, water slide, bouncing castle, keiki I.D., food, and drinks for the 20th Anniversary Police Fun Day Celebration at the Na`alehu Police Station on October 21, 2017; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that promote drug-free and alcohol-free events for the community; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to '0 Ka`u Kakou for expenses related to its 20th Anniversary Police Fun Day Celebration. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
