cPJN�...of M,��� <br /> _ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -+f '- _•S STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 305 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO REIMBURSE THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS <br /> AND RECREATION FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO ITS PILIKULAIWI FALL <br /> INTERSESSION PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation,through its Recreation Division, <br /> offers a variety of activities for school-age children during the fall intersession; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Recreation Division has established a fall intersession program called <br /> Pilikulaiwi, which is a three-day, two-night program for up to 30 youths that will be held in <br /> October 2017 in Ka`u; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Pilikulaiwi program will include a visit to the Keauhou Bird Conservation <br /> Center and other sites, as well as a service project to teach about Hawai`i Island and its ecosystem <br /> and the importance of malama honua(to care for our Earth)through hands-on work; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation requests a reimbursement for <br /> lodging costs at Kilauea Military Camp and T-shirts for the Pilikulaiwi program partners; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks <br /> and Recreation as a reimbursement for expenses related to its Pilikulaiwi fall intersession program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $1,500 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5507.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $1,500 <br /> Recreation Division OCE <br /> 341 Misc.
