REQUEST: <br /> A resolution, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement between the County of <br /> Hawaii and the U.S. Geological survey (USGS) for the purposes of continuing the cooperative flood- <br /> monitoring program on the island of Hawaii. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> This agreement with the USGS is an annuallybudgeted, joint funding agreement where the County of <br /> g <br /> Hawaii contributes $44,696 toward the flood-monitoring program for the collection of long-term systematic <br /> data of annual peak streamflow.
