No. 291-17 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:07 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning,to which was referred Resolution No. 291-17, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 291-17, transmitted by Valerie T. Poindexter, via Communication No. 442 dated <br /> August 30, 2017, postpones Council action on rezoning applications in the Hamakua District, <br /> Waipi`o through Kaiwiki, until the Hamakua Community Development Plan(CDP) is adopted <br /> by ordinance, or December 31, 2018, whichever shall occur first. <br /> The resolution extends the postponement policy statement established with the adoption of <br /> Resolution No. 592-16, which expired on June 30, 2017. <br /> Ms. Poindexter briefly explained that this resolution is a continuation of a prior one. She further <br /> explained that they assumed that the Hamakua CDP would have already been completed, <br /> however there have been changes to the CDP and it may be going back to the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> Leana Gloor, Planning Department Planner, stated that there are minor non-substantive changes <br /> to the Hamakua CDP that are being finished.
