No. 289-17 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:25 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 289-17, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 289-17, transmitted by Finance Director Collins Tomei, via Communication <br /> No. 440 dated August 31, 2017, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more <br /> than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease for the Hawaii County Police Department. <br /> This agreement authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease for new Taser conducted <br /> electrical weapons and associated equipment to be used by the Police Department at a total cost of <br /> $385,344.49. The equipment would replace obsolete models and become the property of the <br /> department upon completion of the terms of the lease. <br /> Lt.
