<oJNtYOFp�; <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII s';.' / # STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ..................F• . . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 339 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE BIG ISLAND <br /> RESOURCE CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL TO ASSIST WITH <br /> EXPENSES RELATED TO THE 2017 HAWAII ISLAND VETERANS DAY PARADE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Big Island Resource Conservation and Development Council <br /> (BIRCDC) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the economic, cultural, and <br /> natural environment of Hawai`i Island through sponsorship of festivals, prorams, and special <br /> events unique to this island; and <br /> WHEREAS, in honor of all Big Island Veterans the BIRCDC is collaborating with <br /> Hawaii Island Veterans Day Parade organizers to host the 2017 Veterans Day Parade in Hilo on <br /> November 4, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, BIRCDC is requesting funding assistance to help defray expenses to host <br /> the 2017 Veterans Day Parade including, but not limited to, special duty police officers, <br /> insurance, permits, tents and portable toilets; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that provide <br /> alcohol-free and drug-free events for the community; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Big Island Resource Conservation and Development <br /> Council to assist with expenses related to the 2017 Veterans Day Parade. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
