cPJ��Yo .....'• . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -4A ' /�•�- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •RESOLUTION NO. 346 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE MICROSOFT SQL SERVER <br /> LICENSES FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY. <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney opens approximately 18,000 new <br /> cases per year and manages its case load using obsolete and inefficient equipment and software; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney intends to upgrade its information <br /> technology infrastructure and migrate to the new LegalEdge Software case management system; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, to ensure compatibility with the new case management system, an upgrade <br /> to the Laserfiche document management software from Laserfiche 9 to Laserfiche 10 will be <br /> required; and <br /> WHEREAS, before an upgrade to Laserfiche 10 can be initiated, the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney needs to purchase new licenses to upgrade its Microsoft SQL Servers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney requests funds to purchase the <br /> required Microsoft SQL Server licenses for the upgrade; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to purchase Microsoft SQL Server licenses, which will allow for the <br /> Laserfiche upgrade and the migration to the new case management system. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
