IV OF h <br /> • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ; �'' '%�•�' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •*11.O <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3G0 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE OUTSTANDING OLDER AMERICAN <br /> AWARD LUNCHEON. <br /> WHEREAS, in 1963, President John F. Kennedy issued a proclamation designating May <br /> as Older Americans Month to acknowledge the contributions of older persons to our country, in <br /> particular those who defended our country; and <br /> WHEREAS, every American president since 1963 has issued a formal proclamation <br /> during or before the month of May asking the nation to pay tribute to older persons in their <br /> communities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Aging sponsors an annual Outstanding Older Americans <br /> Award Luncheon that honors our kupuna for their volunteerism and selfless service to their <br /> communities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Aging is requesting funds for activities, advertising, and other <br /> expenses associated with the preparation for the 2018 Outstanding Older Americans Award <br /> Luncheon; which will be held on May 4, 2018; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Office of Aging for <br /> expenses related to the preparation for the 2018 Outstanding Older Americans Award Luncheon. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $1,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.411.5411.02 Office of Aging $1,000 <br /> Office of Aging OCE <br /> 341 Misc.
