No. 520 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 11:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 520, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 520, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated September 29, 2017, <br /> nominates Mr. James McCully to the Hawai`i County Board of Appeals. <br /> Mr. McCully has been a resident of Hawai`i for 44 years and is not affiliated with any political <br /> party. If confirmed, he will serve a vacant term ending December 31, 2021. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Mr. McCully who appeared in <br /> person for this nomination. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of Mr. McCully. The vote was then taken with <br /> eight Council Members voting"aye."
