No. 523 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 11:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 523, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 523, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated September 29, 2017, <br /> nominates Mr. Sheldon Emeliano to the Hawai`i County North Kohala Community Development <br /> Plan Action Committee. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, provided information regarding <br /> Mr. Emeliano's nomination. Ms. Bautista stated that Mr. Emeliano was born and raised in <br /> Kohala and stated that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, Mr. Emeliano <br /> will serve a term ending September 9, 2020. <br /> Mr. Emeliano was not available for this nomination, and in the interest of time Council Members <br /> decided to move this nomination forward, expecting Mr. Emeliano to be available at the next <br /> Council meeting. The vote was then taken with eight Council Members voting"aye."
