�vNtY°F�!�y, <br /> 4. <br /> '�:r..., <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -•: �� "��'� �•�� a STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �f:+ .rte o:���`. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 383 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A'GRANT TO THE HOLUALOA <br /> VILLAGE OHANA TO SUPPORT ITS 21ST ANNUAL MUSIC AND LIGHT FESTIVAL. <br /> WHEREAS, the Holualoa Village Ohana is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose <br /> objective is to promote the history and lifestyle of Holualoa Village through historic preservation <br /> and documentation of its buildings, businesses, and people; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Holualoa Village Ohana organizes and presents numerous community <br /> events each year, which brings attention to Holualoa's heritage, cultural background, and current <br /> agricultural and artistic assets; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Holualoa Village Ohana is coordinating its 21st Annual Music and Light <br /> Festival, an event that brings the community together for an evening of holiday celebration filled <br /> with festive music and lights; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Holualoa Village Ohana has requested financial assistance for <br /> musicians, security, insurance, posters, Santa's keiki gifts, lighting, and other miscellaneous <br /> supplies associated with the 21st Annual Music and Light Festival; and <br /> WHEREAS, this event falls within the goals of the Department of Research and <br /> Development to increase the economic contribution of the visitor industry to Hawai`i Island, <br /> promote quality experiences for visitors, and promote a high quality of life for Hawai`i Island <br /> residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Research and Development to provide a grant to the Holualoa Village Ohana to assist with <br /> expenses related to its 21st Annual Music and Light Festival. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
