Jkti? <br /> . <br /> ►.r . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII " •: �. �� �• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 486 IS <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF <br /> MULTIPROTOCOL LABEL SWITCHING EQUIPMENT FOR THE <br /> DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY <br /> WHEREAS, Maui County is donating multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) <br /> equipment with a total value of $48,017.12 to the Department of Information and <br /> Technology; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be used to help complete Hawaii County's <br /> MPLS network; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations <br /> of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in <br /> real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County <br /> Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property <br /> which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may <br /> be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the <br /> Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
