r <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> E OF N► - <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 499 �8 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM IN PUNA. <br /> WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Watch program is a collaboration between police <br /> officers, community members, business owners, and volunteers working to keep communities <br /> safe; and <br /> WHEREAS,Neighborhood Watch volunteers serve as additional eyes and ears for <br /> police officers in the community they live or operate businesses in, reporting suspected criminal <br /> activities while also serving to deter crime in isolated areas; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to purchase materials and <br /> supplies for the Neighborhood Watch program in Puna; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Police Department <br /> for its Neighborhood Watch program in Puna. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $1,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: Police Department <br /> 010.201.5214.02 Puna Police-OCE $1,000 <br /> 235 Misc.
