Motion to approve nomination of Stanley Mendes was made by Council Member <br /> Poindexter; 2nd by Council Member David. <br /> As introduced by Ms. Barbara Kossow, Deputy Managing Director for the County of Hawai`i, <br /> Mr. Mendes is a lifelong hunter and outdoorsman. Mr. Mendes is not affiliated with any <br /> political party, and if confirmed he will fill a term ending December 31, 2021. <br /> Nominee Mendes was present and thanked the Committee for the opportunity to serve and noted <br /> his passion for hunting and that he looks forward to working with the commission and the <br /> community. <br /> Committee Chair Richards thanked nominee Mendes for his willingness to serve and advised <br /> that due to his appearance and approval today, it was not required for him to attend the upcoming <br /> confirmation Council meeting. <br /> AWESC Report No. 4 <br />
