4�.r,n' \,��e COUNTY OF HAWAII -ii --''— =t STATE OF HAWAII ATE pp�11P�: RESOLUTION NO. 535 18 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF HAWAII YMCA FOR ITS FAMILY VISITATION CENTER PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Island of Hawai`i YMCA (YMCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports local communities by implementing programs and activities in areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility; and WHEREAS,the YMCA's Family Visitation Center program provides a safe, neutral, and nurturing environment that promotes the safety and well-being of families who have been subject to domestic violence, divorce, separation, or custody disputes; and WHEREAS,the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic and family violence prevention and intervention initiatives; and WHEREAS, the YMCA is requesting funds to provide supervision and security for the children's well-being during visitations and exchanges; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used ; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Island of Hawai`i YMCA to assist with expenses related to its Family Visitation Center program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
