..OS�tYOFH,.,,• <br /> • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> Vos. <br /> 544 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR <br /> A POSTAGE MACHINE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK, ELECTIONS <br /> DIVISION. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of <br /> more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i wishes to enter into a multi-year lease for three <br /> years for a postage machine for the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Elections Division in Kona does not have a postage machine, and it is <br /> necessary to obtain one due to the high volume of mail being sent out from this office; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division, wishes to enter into a <br /> three-year lease agreement for a postage machine for approximately $35.39 per month; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three-year lease agreement for a postage machine for <br /> the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division. <br />
