2. Summary of the objectives and outcomes identified in the Plan Needs Assessment <br />Overview <br />The following summary consolidates the goals and priorities and gives an overview of the County's <br />plans. <br />They are summarized as follows: <br />GOALS <br />The County of Hawaii is utilizing the HUD "Logic Model" to develop its 2015 through 2019 CP. The <br />model outlines the CDBG, HOME, and HTE activities the County will COMPLETE between 2015 and <br />2019. These include: <br />Housing Goals <br />• Provide Tenant -Based Rent Assistance to 100 households, <br />• Construct 2 new affordable rental units for extremely low, low and moderate income <br />households, <br />• Construct 30 affordable rental units for low income elderly persons, <br />• Rehabilitate 36 affordable rental units for low income disabled and/or elderly persons. <br />• Provide 25 homebuyer education and counseling sessions (one per year), <br />• Construct 38 affordable for -sale housing units, <br />• Provide loans/grants for home rehabilitation to 50 homeowners, <br />• Provide effective program administration & conduct an update to the Housing Study. <br />Fair Housing Goals <br />• Conduct 3 fair housing training sessions for persons of Non/Limited-English proficiency, <br />• Develop 1 video to increase awareness, <br />• Increase participation by 20 landlords in training sessions, <br />• Create and link fair housing plan to the County's web site — target 500 hits on the website, <br />• Participate in 15 State-wide meetings and coordinate events, <br />• Conduct 10 fair housing seminars island -wide, <br />• Provide technical support and disseminate information, <br />• Attend 10 training sessions on fair housing, <br />• Conduct an Analysis of impediments Study, <br />• Attend 3 Pair Housing training sessions. <br />Consolidated Plan HAWAII COUNTY 2 <br />OMB Control No 2506-0117 (exp. 06/30/2018) <br />
