-��tY OF h��•, <br /> ..e7, <br /> . .- •\\'k.. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII :• 4�''"=,�' ':•: STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ter' 4:a::,.... <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5E3'7 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION'S SUMMER TEEN SCENE PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i provides several diversified recreation programs that <br /> address the needs and interests of our youth in a safe environment with zero tolerance for illegal <br /> drugs and violence; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, is <br /> coordinating the summer Teen Scene Program for students who have completed seventh, eighth, <br /> ninth, or tenth grade, which is scheduled from June 12 to July 20, 2018, at Pu`u`eo Community <br /> Center located at Clem Akina Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Teen Scene Program is specially designed for teenagers to teach them <br /> "life skills" such as cooking, arts and crafts, leadership activities, career exploration, sports, <br /> excursions, and other fun activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funding assistance to <br /> purchase a generator, cooking equipment,tents, games, supplies, and other miscellaneous items <br /> related to the Teen Scene Program; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation for its summer Teen Scene Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the Countyof Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
