No. 838 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:49 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 838, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 838, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated March 21, 2018, nominates <br /> Shellie Bee Naungayan of District 3 to the Hawai`i County Public Access, Open Space, and Natural <br /> Resources Preservation Commission (PONC). If confirmed, she will serve to fill a vacant term ending <br /> December 31, 2018. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Shellie Bee Naungayan. <br /> Ms. Naungayan holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young <br /> University in Provo, Utah, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education from the University of <br /> Hawai`i at Hilo. She is also active in her church community. <br /> Nominee Naungayan was present and expressed that it would be an honor to serve on the Public Access, <br /> Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
