COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ... <br /> o-_ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 595 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE KEAUKAHA <br /> SCHOOL FOUNDATION FOR ITS KEAUKAHA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br /> PRESCHOOL PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Keaukaha School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that <br /> supports the students and programs of Keaukaha Elementary School; and <br /> WHEREAS, Keaukaha Elementary School has a preschool program that is an <br /> experimental grant project of the Hawai`i State Department of Education; and <br /> WHEREAS, Keaukaha School Foundation is requesting funds for its preschool program <br /> for year-end supplies and activities related to student performance and accomplishment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports positive juvenile <br /> delinquency prevention and intervention initiatives; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Keaukaha School Foundation for year-end supplies <br /> and activities at the Keaukaha Elementary School preschool program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
