BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> In 1878, the Legislature of the Kingdom of Hawaii commissioned a sculpture of King Kamehameha the Great <br /> in the from of a statue.which is located in Kapaau. The property, which was once owned by the State is <br /> currently owned by the County. However, it is unclear who has ownership of the statue.
