No. 589-18 PLACE: Council Chambers Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i TIME: 9:15 a.m. Council Chair and Members Hawai`i County Council Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Res. No. 589-18, reports as follows: Res. No. 589-18, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Ronald Kim, via Communication 882 dated April 4, 2018, is a resolution accepting the dedication of Road Lot A, identified as Tax Map Key Nos. (3) 7-5-004:013 and(3) 7-5-004:031, situated at Keopu 1st and Moeauoa 2nd, District Of North Kona, Island and County Of Hawai`i, State of Hawai`i from Prime A. Investments, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Company. The Prime Investments is desirous of dedicating the above roadway and all improvements thereon to the County of Hawai`i for roadway purposes, and the roadway and improvements have been inspected and approved by the Department of Public Works, and received dedication approval from the Department of Water Supply, the Planning Department and the Department of Environmental Management. Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts, including real estate or any interest in real estate, on behalf of the County of Hawai`i. It was clarified that this is the Alahou Street extension to Henry Street. It creates an alternative route out of a subdivision, eliminating a cul-de-sac.
