No. 885 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:15 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 885, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 885, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 6, 2018, nominates <br /> David De Luz, Jr., of Council District 3 to the Hawai`i County Water Board. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Mr. De Luz who appeared in <br /> person for this nomination. Mr. De Luz was born and raised on the Big Island and states that he <br /> is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, <br /> 2022. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of Mr. De Luz. The vote was then taken with <br /> seven Council Members voting"aye."
