The property is <br /> located at on the west side of Akolea Road, about 550 feet north of the intersection of Kaumana <br /> Drive and Akolea Road, portion of Ponahawai-Kaumana Homesteads, South Hilo, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicants are requesting a change of zone for two (2) contiguous twenty • <br /> - <br /> acre parcels from A-20a to A-6a for approximately forty(40) acres of land in order to <br /> create a six (6) lot subdivision. The subject properties are located on the west side of <br /> Akolea Road, about 550 feet north of the intersection of Kaumana Drive and <br /> Akolea Road, portion of Ponahawai-Kaumana Homesteads, South Hilo, Hawai`i, <br /> TMK's: (3)2-5-047:033 and 034. Four of the proposed lots will be a minimum of <br /> six (6) acres and two (2) lots will be about eight (8) acres each.
