• COUNTY OF HAWAIII *E. -V\YA; STATE OF HAWAII 1.8 RESOLUTION NO. ® A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE.A GRANT TO THE HAMAKUA HEALTH CENTER,INC., FOR ITS HEALTH WELLNESS AND EDUCATION COMMUNITY OUTREACH IN KOHALA. WHEREAS,the Hamakua Health Center, Inc., is.a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide quality,healthcare that is responsive to patients' and communities' needs; and WHEREAS,the Hamakua Health Center, Inc., is coordinating the Kohala Health Wellness and Education community outreach, which will be held in May, 2018; and WHEREAS,the main goal is to promote wellness and health education, with 20 participating health related vendors and health screening for the community and free school supplies for children; and WHEREAS, the Hamakua Health Center, Inc., is requesting funds to assist with event insurance, advertising, school supplies, and other various supplies associated with the community outreach event; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports drug- and alcohol-free events that strengthen families and communities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF.THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Hamakua Health Center, Inc., for its Health Wellness and Education community outreach in Kohala. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
