Additional funding is being provided by the State to be <br /> used for salaries and wages. The Hawai`i Fire Department requests that this appropriation be <br /> increased by an additional $563,436. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawai`i Fire Department's Fire EMS S&W account, bringing the total <br /> appropriation to $11,427,955. <br /> The Hawai`i Fire Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee <br /> and be placed on the June 5, 2018 Council agenda and that the Council waive their five-day hold- <br /> for-reconsideration period in order to ensure this bill be processed during the current fiscal year.
