Description of Proposed The County of Hawaii Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is <br /> Project Plan proposing to provide a training by Communities Mobilizing <br /> for Change on Alcohol (CMCA) titled Overview CMCA <br /> Training. This 2-day training covers the fundamental <br /> strategies of CMCA, including community-organizing tactics <br /> localizedpolicies and ordinances addressing <br /> lead to <br /> youth access to alcohol. <br /> The training also includes a brief introduction of specific <br /> CMCA evaluation strategies, and best practices for engaging <br /> youth in CMCA efforts. This training will target youth <br /> population, especially those involved with starting a Youth <br /> Substance Abuse Prevention board. This training will also <br /> provide 4 additional hours of remote technical assistance via <br /> phone or email as well as 25 CMCA Overview Manuals. <br /> Pending further funding, the CMCA 6-day Intensive Training <br /> will be considered. <br /> Chosen Priority Areas #3 —Youth Engagement and leadership and/or youth <br /> involvement in community change <br /> Existing Contract II. Program Service Requirements A.4.b. — Provide trainings <br /> Requirements and technical assistance opportunities as well as other <br /> related workshops and conferences that address workforce <br /> development and implementation of the strategic <br /> Prevention Framework and SA prevention interventions, <br /> strategies, and programs. <br /> II. Program Service Requirements A.4.b.2. —At least three <br /> (3) trainings annually on SA prevention topics including, but <br /> not limited to, the SPF steps, empowering others, <br /> leadership, evidence-based strategies, and/or <br /> environmental strategies <br /> Proposed Interventions • By September 2018 provide coordinate at least 3 <br /> capacity building trainings with at least 10 of identified <br /> Hawaii County stakeholders and service providers in <br /> attendance <br /> Timeline of Proposed Project Pending discussion and confirmation of availability with <br /> Plan: Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (CMCA): <br /> • June 2018- Planning and scheduling <br /> • July 23- August 3, 2018- Implementation of 2-day <br /> training <br /> County of Hawai'i 3 <br />
