REQUEST: <br /> Please prepare a resolution authorizing the exemption of certain code requirements, pursuant to <br /> Section 201 H-38 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes for Phase 3-92 of the Mohouli Heights Senior <br /> Neighborhood. <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development respectfully request that the above-referenced <br /> matter be waived from Committee to the full Council for action at the next Council meeting, hopefully, <br /> July 11, 2018. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Resolution 536-16 subsequently approved the zoning classification of the Original Parcel to RM <br /> Three Thousand ("RM-3"), and allowed for the total development of 182 units. HICDC now wishes <br /> to continue development of Phases 3 and 4 on the Property, which are now combined and referred <br /> to as Phase 3-92 of the Project, in accordance with the requirements and allowances of the EO, <br /> and is requesting those certain exemptions provided in Exhibit"A"attached hereto; and <br /> Timing is critical as Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation intends to close financing in <br /> late July or early August, which requires the Resolution with the updated density and zoning in place. <br /> Thank you for your consideration. <br /> SIGNED: DATE: JUN 15 2018 <br /> De ent Head <br />
