REQUEST: <br /> This is a request to appropriate funds for an MOA with the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center, Department <br /> of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii (hereinafter"HCJDC") for the purpose of purchasing equipment <br /> (servers, scanners, label printers and printer supplies) that will assist officers in the following: <br /> 1. Increase officers safety by having access to statewide offender information in a timely manner. <br /> 2. Enhance identification, storage and tracking of recovered items (evidence) by moving to a standardized <br /> bar coded system. <br /> Please Approriate funds up to $48,590.00 <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Hawaii Police Department will receive reimbusement for equipment purchased identified in the MOA. <br /> The Hawaii Police Deparment's Finance Section shall submit a Bill for Collection including a copy(s) of the <br /> vendor(s) to the HCJDC for amount paid for equipment. Multiple payments may be included on a single Bill <br /> for Collection. <br /> Note: Request that this request be waived from Finance Committee and placed on the next council agenda <br /> as deadline for the expendature of these funds is September 30, 2018. <br /> SIGNED: 7 DATE: 06/20/2018 <br /> Department Head <br />
