J�SY�S Nq4 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -+_ 'k'' %i*�� STATE OF HAWAII. <br /> �tea,., <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 674 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO FRIENDS OF THE <br /> FUTURE FOR THE 2018 HAWAII ISLAND WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP SUMMIT. <br /> WHEREAS,the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney oversees the Committee on the <br /> Status of Women, which seeks to advance and celebrate the value of women in our society by <br /> cultivating relationships, networking, and developing leaders locally; and <br /> WHEREAS, Friends of the Future is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that envisions <br /> harmony and balance among the diverse people of Hawai`i and encourages individuals to strive <br /> to enrich their communities through shared visions and multi-cultural values; and <br /> WHEREAS, Friends of the Future will partner with the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney to support the 2018 Hawai`i Island Women's Leadership Summit that will be held on <br /> October 19, 2018, at the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay; and <br /> WHEREAS, Friends of the Future is requesting funds to purchase materials, flyers, and <br /> advertising for the 2018 Hawai`i Island Women's Leadership Summit; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Friends of the Future for the 2018 Hawai`i Island <br /> Women's Leadership Summit. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
