Additional funding in the amount of$126,624 is being provided by the <br /> Office of National Drug Control Policy to combat the methamphetamine drug problem in the <br /> County of Hawai`i. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawai`i County Police Department's HI Impact Grant account, bringing <br /> the total appropriation to $308,624. <br /> The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be <br /> placed on the October 3, 2018 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
