COUNTY OF HAWAI6I RESOLUTION NO. STATE OF HAWAII 720 IS A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE BIG ISLAND RESOURCE CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES INCURRED AT THE 6TH ANNUAL HAWAII ISLAND ALL NATIONS POWWOW. WHEREAS, the Big Island Resource Conservation and Development Council (BIRCDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the economic, cultural, and natural environment of Hawaii Island through sponsorship of festivals, programs, and special events unique to this island; and WHEREAS, BIRCDC assisted with the logistics of the 61h Annual Hawaii Island All Nations Powwow, which was held on September 15 and 16, 2018, with the theme "Honor the Earth"; and WHEREAS, BIRCDC is requesting funds as a reimbursement for the food booths and event equipment rental for the 6th Annual Hawaii Island All Nations Powwow event; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that provide compliance to liquor laws and public safety; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Big Island Resource Conservation and Development Council for the 6th Annual Hawaii Island All Nations Powwow. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
