COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 72-3 IS <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A HAWAII <br />KINGDOM COAT OF ARMS BRONZE PLAQUE FOR THE OFFICE <br />OF THE MAYOR <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Ed Vasquez is donating a Hawaii Kingdom Coat of Arms <br />bronze plaque valued at $4,000 to be displayed in the Hilo Mayor's office; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br />provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations <br />of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in <br />real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County <br />Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property <br />which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may <br />be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Mayor recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`l <br />that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, <br />and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the <br />Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br />resolution be sent Mr. Ed Vasquez, 68-1754 Melia Street, C-120, Waikoloa, Hawaii <br />96738. <br />
