Maintenance Agreement to ensure that the enhanced IWS systems are regularly inspected, <br />maintained, repaired and certified to be in proper operating order. In their latest Annual <br />Report to the State Land Use Coininission the applicant confinned that they do and will <br />continue to comply with these requirements. <br />19. Solid Waste: There are no municipal waste collection services in the County. All solid <br />waste generated by the development will be disposed of at the County's Pu`uanahulu <br />landfill, approximately 18 miles north of the site. The applicant prepared a Solid Waste <br />Management Plan as required by Condition No. 13 of LUC Docket No. A00-073. The <br />plan was subsequently accepted by the Department of Environmental Management — <br />Solid Waste Division on August 21, 2006. <br />20. Essential Utilities and Services: Electricity and telephone services are available to the <br />site. The Kealakehe Police Station is located about 1.5 miles south of the project site, and <br />fire protection is provided by the Kailua-Kona Fire Station located approximately three <br />miles south of the property. The Kona Hospital is located in Kealakekua, approximately <br />ten miles from the site. <br />AGENCIES' COMMENTS <br />21.
