REQUEST: <br /> We are requesting a Resolution to enter into an agreement to accept $280,498 for the Prosecutor's Office to <br /> utilize for improving the response to sexual assault in Hawaii County. The total amount of state funds <br /> accepted for the "Sex Assualt Kit Initiative (SAKI) Reviews of Cold Case and Domestic Violence (DV) <br /> Incidents Project" from.the Hawaii State Department of Attorney General. <br /> We request to ammend Ordinace 18-49as ammended, the Operating Budget for the County of Hawaii for <br /> the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018. <br /> This would include creating general ledger expenditure and revenue accounts for the funds. These are <br /> federal funds passed through the Hawaii State Attorney General's office. <br /> We are requesting the waving of further reading so as to expedite this process as time is an issue for the <br /> grant funds <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Hawaii County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is committed to the success of the SAKI initiative and has <br /> fully participated in statewide meetings, trainings and conferences.
