Lee Loy, Council Member <br /> SUBJECT: Request for a discussion on the formation of an ad hoc committee to consider <br /> revisions to the Rules of Procedure and Organization for the Hawai`i County <br /> Council. <br /> As allowed by Hawai`i Revised Statutes Section 92-2.5(b)(1), I am requesting a discussion on <br /> the formation of an ad hoc committee to consider revisions to the Rules of Procedure and <br /> Organization that the Hawai`i County Council adopted through the approval of Resolution No. 4- <br /> 18 on December 3, 2018. <br /> The goal of this comprehensive review will be to identify opportunities to improve efficiency <br /> while protecting the open, transparent, and deliberative policy making process, as required by <br /> law. This committee, or permitted interaction group,will be composed of no more than four <br /> council members, whose identities shall be determined in the course of this initial discussion. <br /> I estimate this discussion will take approximately 20 minutes.
