' . . ,�v <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII :•�� `'' � • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> . <br /> 4*F•CF•MAJ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 30 19 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF MONETARY <br /> DONATIONS TOTALING $170,355 FOR DISASTER RELIEF FROM <br /> THE 2018 LAVA FLOW <br /> WHEREAS, the followingdonated funds to the Countyfor disaster relief from <br /> the 2018 lava flow: <br /> Source Amount <br /> • Puna Geothermal Venture $150,000.00 <br /> • Tokyoto Oshimamachi 18,274.22 <br /> • Saishoin Temple 2,000.00 <br /> • Sister City Mayor Inoue 80.44 <br /> $170,354.66 <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used for disaster relief from the 2018 lava flow <br /> in Puna; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that <br /> cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br /> Resolution process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br />
