...... <br /> .... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII , '� � STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • .Oi M4� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 34 19 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $1,000 TO THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, The Petco Foundation is donating $1,000 to the Hawaii Fire <br /> Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support the Hawaii Fire Department's <br /> canine program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that <br /> cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br /> Resolution process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
