The property is located Manono Street, approximately 185 <br />feet south of its intersection with Hualani Street, Waiakea House Lots, South Hilo, Hawaii. <br />The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br />favorable consideration of the request: <br />The applicant is requesting a Change of Zone from a Single -Family Residential - <br />10,000 square feet (RS -10) to a Neighborhood Commercial -20,000 square feet (CN -20) <br />zoning district in order to develop a paved parking lot for tenant employees and overflow <br />parking for customers of the Manono Street Marketplace adjacent to the south of the <br />subject property. The applicant intends to commence construction and infrastructure <br />improvements immediately upon securing development approvals and permits.
