He also served in the United States Army <br /> Reserve with multiple deployments to Pohakuloa Training Area, O'ahu and Pacific Rim <br /> nations. <br /> Possessing a lengthy list of community service, Mr. Yamada was president of the <br /> Hawai'i Island Contractors Association. He is also a member of Keaukaha Panaewa <br /> Farmers Association, Hui Malama Ola Na `Oiwi, Hilo Little League, and various other <br /> organizations. <br /> Mr. Yamada indicates that he is not a member of any political party.
