COUNTY OF HAWAII • 4�'„ STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ...*2§1;.-I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 60 19 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT <br /> AWARD OF $20,000 FROM THE CITIES FOR FINANCIAL <br /> EMPOWERMENT FUND TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A <br /> PLAN TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A <br /> FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT CENTER <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has been selected to receive a $20,000 <br /> grant award from the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to develop a plan to determine the <br /> feasibility of establishing a Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) based on the <br /> FEC model on Hawaii Island; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) model provides <br /> free, professional one-on-one financial counseling/coaching to residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development shall oversee <br /> the implementation of this project and recommends the acceptance of this grant <br /> award; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this grant award. <br />
