COUNTY OF HAWAII +� _• <br />,rE OF�NF'� <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />64 19 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF <br />HAWAII YMCA FOR THE WEST HAWAII FAMILY VISITATION CENTER <br />PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the Island of Hawaii YMCA (YMCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization that supports our communities by emphasizing healthy living, well-being, youth <br />development, and social responsibilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program in West Hawaii provides a <br />safe, nurturing and supervised environment for children who have been subject to domestic <br />violence, divorce, separation, or custody disputes to visit with a parent or be transferred between <br />parents; and <br />WHEREAS, the YMCA is requesting funding for supervisory staff and security during <br />visitations and exchanges; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic and family <br />violence prevention and intervention initiatives by identifying areas of need and working <br />collaboratively with other criminal justice agencies and community programs; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(A)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br />activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br />Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Island of Hawaii YMCA to assist with expenses <br />related to the West Hawaii Family Visitation Center Program. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
