(-- <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -• �'' _/ STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 102 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF <br /> HAWAII YMCA FOR THE EAST HAWAII FAMILY VISITATION CENTER <br /> PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS,the Island of Hawai`i YMCA(YMCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization that strengthens communities through holistic programming focused on health and <br /> well-being, youth development, community-based solutions, and inspiring others to serve <br /> through volunteering and advocacy; and <br /> WHEREAS,the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program in East Hawai`i allows <br /> children who have been negatively impacted by domestic violence, custody disputes, or other <br /> familial disruptions,to spend time with their family members by providing a safe space along <br /> with scheduling, coordination, supervision and security services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the YMCA Family Visitation Center Program requires assistance with <br /> funding to maintain its operations,to include trained staff to supervise visits; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic and family <br /> violence prevention and intervention initiatives by identifying areas of need and working <br /> collaboratively with other criminal justice agencies and community programs; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(A)(2) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program,project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Island of Hawai`i YMCA to assist with expenses <br /> related to the East Hawai`i Family Visitation Center Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
