felrff... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII :•(4\' '/_• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1.04 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HOLUALOA <br /> FOUNDATION FOR ARTS & CULTURE TO SUPPORT ITS EXHIBITION <br /> PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Holualoa Foundation for Arts & Culture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization that provides art education for people of all ages and abilities at its facility, Donkey <br /> Mill Art Center (DMAC), in Holualoa; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Holualoa Foundation for Arts & Culture has an Exhibition Program at <br /> DMAC that is free of charge and ensures that local families, keiki, student groups, community <br /> organizations, and visitors have multiple channels through which to engage with art and each <br /> other; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Holualoa Foundation for Arts & Culture is requesting financial <br /> assistance for its Exhibition Program for expenses that include advertising, curation fees, and <br /> g <br /> printing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development supports efforts to increase <br /> the economic contribution of the visitor industry to Hawai`i Island,promote quality experiences <br /> for visitors, and promote a high quality of life for Hawai`i Island residents; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Research and Development to provide a grant to the Holualoa Foundation for Arts & Culture for <br /> its Exhibition Program at the Donkey Mill Art Center. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> I <br />
