71;;;-- <br /> Y OF........ .. <br /> �i��i��;, <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII i+i. �'; /`••1 STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> • �rEcF•Hr,.d: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 110 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE PAHOA <br /> SCHOOLS SUPPORT FOUNDATION FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES <br /> INCURRED AT ITS SECOND ANNUAL PAHOA COMPLEX SCHOOLS HEALTH <br /> AND WELLNESS FAIR. <br /> WHEREAS, The Palma Schools Support Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization whose purpose is to supplement and fund activities to promote educational <br /> opportunities for the public schools of Pahoa; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pahoa High School is a Blue Zones Project approved school committed to <br /> the guiding principles of well-being and personal transformation to make the community and <br /> state a better place to live,work, and play; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pahoa High School hosted its Second Annual Pahoa Complex Schools <br /> Health and Wellness Fair on March 9, 2019, for students and the community to promote and <br /> teach attendees how to integrate more physical activities and healthy eating into their personal <br /> lifestyles; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Pahoa Schools Support Foundation is requesting funds as a <br /> reimbursement for expenses included but not limited to security, equipment rental, and <br /> advertising for the Second Annual Pahoa Complex Schools Health and Wellness Fair; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation supports events that enrich the <br /> quality of life for Hawai`i residents and strengthen community ties; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to The Pahoa Schools Support Foundation for <br /> reimbursement of expenses incurred at its second annual Pahoa Complex Schools Health and <br /> Wellness Fair. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
